The A-Level Art & Design Exhibition 2020 features a collection of paintings, prints, photographs, textiles and sculpture from over 60 students at Newcastle Sixth Form College. The work represents a personal investigation by each student into an aspect of Art and Design, which has captured his or her imagination.
The inspiration from Artists and Designers they have investigated is a key feature of their collective creative ideas. The themes range from re-imagined film posters to interpretations of identity and self-expression.
Staff and students expressed their gratitude to the Directors of Vane, Paul Stone and Christopher Yeats for this rare opportunity for young people in Newcastle to exhibit in their unique contemporary Art space.
They also wished to thank Jonpaul Kerwan of Ampersand Inventions who kindly encouraged, facilitated and supported Newcastle Sixth Form College with this special event.
