ENTERING THE ECO-ENTERPRISE DRAGONS DEN

12 December

This week, schools from across the region have been entering our Dragon's Den, and taking part in the first phase of the Eco Enterprise schools challenge. NSFC have been hosting their first ever Eco Enterprise Schools Challenge to find the best young business minds and entrepreneurs from across the region.

We had an amazing line-up of industry experts in HR, Finance and Marketing with support from AkzoNobel, PwC and Deloitte on Wednesday 11th December, as we put students from Jarrow School through their paces, presenting their business ideas.

Nine schools are competing in this competition from across the region to find a new sustainable and environmentally friendly product. This week has seen teams present in front of our Dragon’s Den with some fantastic ideas and some real eco entrepreneurs in the making.

The winners from Jarrow School on the day were WK Engines, William Hynes and Jadon Kareem, with their highly ambitious and inspiring business idea of a water powered engine. Feedback from the day was great and the students really enjoyed their experience and were grateful for the invitation. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Jarrow School and other schools from across the region on this exciting business planning programme.
