Politics
Overview
Government and Politics is the study of political behaviour, processes and institutions, including the relationship and interactions between different institutions and groups.
This subject will be of interest to you if you are keen to discuss and learn more about current affairs and political issues.
You will develop a broad knowledge and understanding of the political system of the UK. You will also examine the US political system as well as the key issues that drive the UK political debate and the ideologies from which they are derived.
Entry Requirements
Our general entry criteria is 4 GCSEs at grade C or above plus Maths and English Language at grade 5 or above.

- Governing Modern Britain.
- The Politics of the USA.
- Political Issues.
Trips / Visits / Enrichment
You will learn through a combination of lectures, group work, interactive classroom activities, visits and guest speakers, resource based learning and self-supported study.
Assessment
You will sit written exams for each topic at the end of the two years.
