This week, NSFC was thrilled to welcome Calvin, Jonathan, Rich, and Phephe from Loud speaker, an inspiring organisation that works with young people to develop a range of essential life skills — including public speaking, networking, resilience, and confidence.

Loudspeaker’s mission is to empower students to find their voice and express themselves with clarity and confidence, skills that are invaluable both in education and beyond. Their engaging “Gameface” workshop, delivered to our Year 12 students, focused on interview techniques, public speaking, and communication under pressure.

Throughout the session, students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, take part in interactive challenges, and learn how to present themselves authentically and effectively. The team from Loudspeaker shared practical advice on how to approach interviews with confidence, make a strong first impression, and communicate with purpose.

As part of the workshop, students also gained valuable insights into networking — exploring how to build meaningful connections and develop the professional and interpersonal skills needed for success after sixth form.

Feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on how the session helped them to build confidence, develop self-awareness, and think more proactively about their future progression options.

We’d like to say a big thank you to the Loudspeaker team for delivering such an energetic, inspiring, and impactful day at NSFC. Our Year 12 students are certainly ready to put their game face on as they prepare for the exciting challenges ahead!
