Newcastle Sixth Form College Celebrates 10 Years of Success

22 March

Newcastle Sixth Form College celebrated its 10th Anniversary this week. The celebratory reception and dinner, held at the college, brought together current and former students, staff, executives and board members, as well as some of our key partners in business and education to commemorate a decade of educational success and achievement.

"The success of Newcastle Sixth Form College is built on the amazing students and staff who study and work here. This would not be possible without the collaboration within the NCG group of colleges and with the wider community." - Simon Ross, Principal

The night opened with current student president Aya Bajeaifer and former NSFC Principal and current NCG Executive Principal Gerard Garvey who welcomed guests and provided an insight into the last decade of achievement.

Other keynote speakers included Clark Kent, a former student president and LSE Alumni, who captivated the audience with his personal journey, emphasizing the transformative role NSFC played in shaping his career path.

In the concluding remarks, Paul Blake, Chairman of the British Basketball League and owner of the Newcastle Eagles, delivered an inspiring speech on the profound influence of networks and connections, underlining the importance of seizing "sliding door" opportunities in both educational and professional realms.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the last decade, last night's Celebration was a perfect way to acknowledge the many partnerships which ensure our students #GoFurther with NSFC.

Thanks to Newcastle University, Northumbria University, Oliver Wyman, Catalyst, Newcastle NHS Trust, Newcastle United Foundation, Newcastle Eagles, Villiers Park and North East LEP for your support at this event.
