NSFC recently held a hugely successful Progression Fayre for Year 12 and Year 13 students, welcoming over 40 universities, local businesses, and public service representatives to our campus.
The event was designed to help students explore their future options, whether they are considering Higher Education, Apprenticeships, or direct entry into the workplace. Throughout the day, students were able to speak directly with representatives from universities across the country, gather information about degree programmes, and gain valuable insights into campus life.
In addition to universities, a wide range of businesses and organisations attended to discuss apprenticeship opportunities and career pathways. Our local public services were also well represented, with Northumbria Police among the visitors providing advice.
Students praised the fayre for giving them the chance to ask questions and get tailored advice about their future.
Staff were equally pleased with the event’s success. The Personal Development team emphasised that the fayre plays a vital role in supporting students to make informed choices and plan for life after Sixth Form.
Overall, the day was a fantastic opportunity for students to explore their next steps and feel inspired about their future.
