Women in Engineering with British Engines

28 November

Six of our female STEM students had a fantastic opportunity to find out more about careers in engineering through a fantastic opportunity offered by British Engines and NE1 Can. It was an awareness and aspiration raising morning about product engineering, opportunities and routes into the industry.

The event focused on the experiences of women in the sector and the students got to talk to a range of women working as engineers through a careers carousel.

They also got the opportunity to visit the BEL Valves factory at St Peters, Newcastle for a behind the scenes look at the industry.

It was a brilliant morning which has given our students plenty to consider as the plan their futures in STEM.
