Extended Project Qualification

The Extended Project Qualification is recognised and highly valued by universities, and carries up to 70 additional UCAS points.

It demonstrates excellent project and time management skills, as well as your interest in your chosen area of study, and it can help you to make the transition to Higher Education.

It is an optional additional qualification for students who are keen to extend their studies and commit to independent research. You will choose your area of study and complete an extended piece of work – either an essay based report or investigation, or a creative piece in this area. Projects can be related to a subject you study but should extend beyond A Level content.

Throughout the project you will keep a log to plan and review. At the end of the project you will deliver a presentation on the area of study. Students will have regular contact with their supervisor to guide them through the project.

The Extended Project Qualification is a great way to extend your studies and show your passion for a topic, as well as developing independent study, research, and time and project management skills which are integral to later life and higher education.
