Did you know it's Mental Health Awareness Week?
From May 13th to 19th, we're diving into the theme of MOVEMENT. Did you know that simply getting up and moving can do wonders for your mental health? It increases energy, cuts down on stress, and boosts your self-esteem.
Today, in our foyer area, we hosted an array of activities from 11:45 to 1:30, all aimed at getting students and staff alike up and moving:
🏃♂️ Skipping station: How many skips can you clock in a minute?
🚣♀️ Rowing Challenge: How many rows you can conquer in 60 seconds?
💪 Exercise station: How many push-ups or sit-ups can you do within a minute?
Huge shout out to Jen Burlton and the Target Team for both organising the event and giving out fantastic tips on how to get moving and improve mental well-being.
Our first day has been great, with students and staff embracing the opportunity to prioritize their mental health through movement, and we are very much looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow.
