Travel Disruption

If you travel to college on public transport, you probably know that bus services operated by Go North East are currently affected by strike action.

This means that almost all Go North East services that run from Consett, Gateshead, Hexham, Percy Main (North Shields), Sunderland and Washington are not running.

Despite the current bus strikes, Newcastle Sixth Form College is open as usual and we ask all students who usually travel on Go North East services to make every effort to find alternative transport and continue to attend your lessons.

There are a number of alternative routes available for you to travel to college.

However, for those areas where no alternative route is available the College is providing bus transport.

Buses running to and from Newcastle Sixth Form College from Thursday 16 November 2023

Buses will be operating to and from the College across three routes on Monday's, Tuesday's, Thursday's and Friday's.You will need to show your college lanyard when boarding the buses. Please note: times are approximate and will be line with traffic congestion and weather conditions. Please wait at the designated pick up points, the buses will arrive but may not be the published timetable.
