In October, our personal development lessons at NSFC had a focus on honouring Black History Month.
Organised by Lisa Allen, NSFC’s librarian, students delved into significant topics such as the Windrush Generation, Bristol Bus Boycott, Harriet Tubman, and the Notting Hill Carnival.
Through academic writing and poster creation, students explored the rich tapestry of Black history, highlighting the struggles, achievements, and cultural contributions of Black individuals and communities. This initiative not only fostered academic growth but also promoted understanding, empathy, and appreciation for diversity within NSFC.
Their works were displayed in the NSFC Library.
