We were thrilled to host the NHS Melissa Bus this week at NSFC. What's MELISSA, you ask? It stands for Mobile Educational Learning Improving Simulation Safety Activities, and it's no ordinary bus! 🚍
MELISSA brought healthcare education and training right to our doorstep, On board Melissa, our students met Daisy, cutting-edge simulation manikins. Daisy offers training on a wide range of clinical scenarios, from basic treatment to advanced interventions. Her lifelike anatomy and interactive features provide an immersive learning experience, crucial for students thinking about a career in healthcare.
But that's not all! We also had the privilege of welcoming Eriic the Brain, an extraordinary educational resource in the form of an informative inflatable cerebrum. One of only three in the world, Eriic offers an interactive journey into the world of neurological conditions, including delirium, dementia, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and more.
Our psychology students had a fantastic opportunity to explore these vital resources firsthand, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of the human mind and neurological health. Thank you to everyone who made this incredible experience possible!
