It was wonderful to welcome back CJ Watson, an alumni student, who gave our second-year Philosophy, Ethics & Religion students a fantastic presentation and engaged them in a Q&A session.
They spoke with our students about their first-hand experiences while also giving them the chance to ask them questions about their own transition from an A-Level student to a university student.
CJ completed their A Levels with us in 2022, won the NSFC Student of the Year award in philosophy, and then went progressed on to Exeter University to study philosophy and theology.
As part of their degree, they are studying Biblical Hebrew Language, science and religion, logic and classical philosophy of the mind.
They have also been selected to present and exhibit their research into the impacts of religiosity and mental health, for the national Undergraduate Research showcase in collaboration with Warwick university and Oxford abstracts.
