Over 80 Newcastle Sixth Form College students are taking part in a student shadowing event at Newcastle University this week.
The event aims to provide college students interested in studying at Newcastle University the opportunity to shadow undergraduate students in a subject area of their choice, including Marine Biology, English Literature, Politics and Dentistry.
During the event students will attend a lecture; tutorial or practical session and they will receive information on student finance, tips on how to write an effective UCAS Personal Statement and will be taken on a tour of the University campus.
David Coe, NSFC Transition and Progression Co-ordinator said: "Student shadowing at Newcastle University is a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain practical experience of what it is really like to study a degree programme and will enable them to make informed choices when thinking about their next steps after Newcastle Sixth Form College.”
